One to One: Day 24
By Tracey Armstrong

Psalms 16:11 You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. (NKJV)

The path of life is found in the presence of the Lord. The path of life is not found in a book or in counseling. The path of life is a well-trodden road that many have walked successfully and where many men and women of faith have walked. The well-trodden road of the living is not easily found. There are many roads in life to take but they don’t all lead to “chay” (khah’-ee); “alive; strong; life (or living thing).” This scripture is not only talking about having life, but being alive.

The road of the living is not being accessed by everyone; the road of the living will not be learned by the teaching of man, but by finding yourself in the presence of the Lord. In the presence of the Lord is the satisfaction of blitheness and glee. God wants us to have an extravagant joy; God wants us to be completely happy.

In the presence of God there is not only joy, but there are pleasures that are eternal. ‘”Forevermore” is the word ‘netsach’ (neh’-tsakh); “a goal, i.e., “the bright object at a distance traveled towards.” In the presence of the Lord is a well-trodden road where many people who have fought the good fight and have experienced great success have reached their goal; and at His right hand there is great delight in reaching the goal.

We can read all the books and have many mentors, but if we don’t spend time in the presence of the Lord, we may find a counterfeit path. But the path of the living that leads to your family, physical, financial, and eternal goals is found in the presence of the Lord. Stand face to face with God on a daily basis and the Holy Spirit will guide you to the path that you have been longing to see.

DECLARATION
Father, I want to reach the goals that you have set in front of me. Please show me the path of the living. I will seek You! In your presence is the joy of life and I have determined to live in that perfect joy.

DEED
Set your goals; then spend time in the presence of God so that God can give you direction and instruction on how to reach your goals.
