One to One: Day 30

Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. (NKJV)
If there was a great sale on a certain item at a well-known store and the item was something everybody uses and needs, we would, for sure, get on the phone or on the Internet to contact our friends and family so we could tell them about the item and its price. We wouldn’t do it grudgingly; we would do it with confidence, with zeal, and excitement. After we bought it we would show it to everyone and explain to him or her what a great deal we got. It would become the topic of many of our conversations.
I have a question. How can we have such joy and excitement about a deal at Walmart or some frivolous thing, but when it comes to the Good News that Jesus saves, heals, and will come again we clam up like those words cause leprosy or something? Is it because we don’t believe that we have the best thing going on? Is it because we don’t understand the grace that we have received from Him? What is it? Maybe we don’t think that we have received such an amazing thing? He took our sins and gave us His sinless life. I think that is a great deal. He grabbed us out of the clutches of Satan and brought us into His powerful arms of love. I think that’s a great deal too.
I pray that you and I will get a dramatic conviction that the news that we have is the very best news that the world MUST hear. I want to experience the grace of God so wonderfully that I just can’t help but tell everyone that I have some good news for him or her.
Some of you are the only people that are saved at your job or in your family. Do you know why? Because God trusts that you are the factor that will bring change to that situation! He trusts that you will not be ashamed of Him and that His love has been so great for you that you will eventually take responsibility for the salvation of your family, friends, and neighbors. Think about it; God could have drawn anyone. He could have drawn your brother, mother, sister, father, or cousin, but He drew you. He believes that you will do whatever needs to be done to lead those people to Him. God Himself planted the good news in your mouth. You have what it takes!
DECLARATION
Father, it is my privilege to serve You in my sphere of influence. I will speak when You tell me to speak and I will pray when You tell me to pray. I cannot reach my family without Your leading. Thank you for believing in me and loving me.
DEED
Call someone that you have been praying for to receive salvation. As you talk to them journal anything that you can pray for, in order for them to have a breakthrough. You don’t have to ask them about their problems, but you should be attentive while you talk to them.
